The viral video was captured by the Utah state trooper’s dash cam in his vehicle.

It shows him in a high visibility jacket walking towards a white car that has crashed on the side of a road due to the snow.

As he walks towards it, he looks back, only to see a spending black car attempt to slam on their brakes.

The man is thrown into the air and hitw the white car, with his body slumped against the floor.

The black car slides past and attempts to stop in the middle of the road.

Named as Sergeant Cade Brenchley, he had been called out to help a number of cars

Amazingly, the man survived with just a few broken bones, according to KUTV.com.

Named as Sergeant Cade Brenchley, he had been called out to help a number of cars who had lost control in Sardine Canyon on Sunday.

Despite the terrifying hit, he only suffered some broken ribs and a broken scapula when he was rushed to Logan Regional Hospital.

He told the media: “I am extremely grateful to be alive.

“It could have taken me away from my kids and we watched the video and by all means it probably should have.

The woman was reportedly “in hysterics” after hitting Sergeant Brenchley but he admitted he had “no ill will toward her”.

He explained why they decided to release the scary video showing his accident.

“We’re all trying to get to our destination. We’re trying to get there safely, but we’ve got to pay attention to what’s going on around us,” he said.

According to Utah Department of Public Safety, this is the 11th trooper to be hit on Utah roads in 2018.

Many users who watched the video on Imgur explained how the area is known for being dangerous.

She was taken to court where part of her punishment was to stand on the road with a sign explaining her crime.
