President Donald Trump’s travel ban has been accepted by the US Supreme Court to block six Muslim-majority countries from entering the country.

Five of the seven court justices have granted the request to lift the injunctions that initially blocked the ban.

The controversial move means travellers coming from six countries could no longer be allowed entry to the US.

But which countries are included in the ban?

The countries included in the travel ban are Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen

The countries included in the travel ban are Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.

It is unclear when it is to take place.

The challenges from the state of Hawaii stated that it was discriminating against Muslisms and was in violation of the US Constitution.

Despite them also claiming it was not permissible under immigration laws, it is to go into full effect as legal proceedings continue.

Trump travel ban: Donald Trump has banned six countries citizens from entering the US

Earlier this year, Trump issued his first travel ban in January, which was blocked by federal courts after legal challenges.

His revised version was issued in March and it exempted green card holders and dual citizens. This was allowed to go through by the Supreme court, which also included a 120-day ban on refugees entering from those countries.

Those with a “bona fide connection” to the US were still allowed to enter.

The third and current order, which was announced in late September, added non-Muslim-majority countries North Korea and Venezuela to the list.

Citizens from North Korea and government officials in Venezuela are to be affected by this.

The full ban, despite two court justices not agreeing with it, is to now include the six countries.

Earlier this year, many US citizens took to the streets to protest the travel ban.

How the ban will be implemented will be decided by the end of June 2018, reaching decisions with “appropriate dispatch”.
